Ossiam - Jumilla

80-hectare vineyard located in the small town of Ontur in the heart of D.O. Jumilla in Spain´s southern plains. There, the 110 year-old Monastrell vines survived the great phylloxera epidemic which devastated the vineyards of Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Planted at an altitude of over 2,000 feet and enclosed by mountains, the vines thrive in the region´s microclimate and extremely dry, calcareous clay soils.

In fact, although the winery where we produce our own label Ossiam, was only founded in 1947.

The result of all this is quality hand-picked grapes with a sense of place which our winemaker, Pamela Geddes, lets express itself through minimal intervention in the winery.
